The Sir Sayajirao Nagar Gruh, also known as the Town Hall cum Auditorium, stands as a testament to the vision and generosity of the Bank of Baroda (BoB). Located near Cow Circle in the Akota area of Vadodara, this impressive structure is a significant landmark in the city.
Features:
Seating Capacity: The auditorium boasts a spacious main hall with a seating capacity of 1,008, making it a prominent venue for large events and gatherings.
Dressing Rooms: The facility includes four well-equipped dressing rooms to cater to the needs of performers and speakers.
Statue of Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III: At the entrance, a statue of Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III pays homage to the founder of the Bank of Baroda, emphasizing the deep connection between the institution and the city’s history.
The Sir Sayajirao Nagar Gruh is not only a gift from the Bank of Baroda, which was established by Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III, but also a symbol of his enduring legacy. The bank’s support in creating this auditorium reflects the Maharaja’s commitment to the cultural and civic development of Vadodara.
The location of the theatre is very convenient and ideal. The size of the stage and the auditorium is also very good. However, since last one year the curtain is not operating causing the performers embedment and assistances also do not enjoy the shows. The washroom facilities are also very pathetic and stinking.
On behalf of the general public and the audience I request the management and municipal authorities to do the needful on priority basis.
Thanks
