The ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) Temple is a serene haven located near the Hari Nagar Market on Gotri Road, Vadodara. Established in 1999, it is dedicated to Radha Krishna, along with Lord Jagannath, Lord Balbhadra, Subhadra, and Gaura Nitai.

Temple Precinct

The temple complex is expansive, featuring the main temple surrounded by lush gardens and ashrams for men, women, and elderly guests. It also includes a cow farm, reflecting Lord Krishna’s connection with cows, and Govinda’s Restaurant, which offers traditional Gujarati and South Indian cuisine.

Architectural Features

The temple is notable for its three beautifully decorated ‘shikharas’ that crown the altars. The sabha mandapa is topped with a large dome adorned with intricate paintings. Designed to flood the interiors with natural light, the temple’s architecture creates a serene atmosphere.

Tulsi Kyara

Outside the temple, the ‘Tulsi Kyara’ is dedicated to the worship of Goddess Tulsi, complementing the devotion to Lord Krishna and adding to the spiritual ambiance of the precinct.

Rath Yatra

An annual highlight is the ‘Rath Yatra‘, a grand procession where the deities are carried on a chariot through the city. This vibrant event attracts numerous devotees, who participate with devotion and enthusiasm, pulling the chariot and celebrating their faith.

The ISKCON Temple serves as a peaceful refuge from the city’s hustle and bustle, offering a tranquil space for spiritual connection and reflection.
